Sometimes algae growth indicates a lack of balance or oxygen deficiency. It's usually caused by dead things that create sludge leading to stagnation, icky odors and other unpleasant outcomes. Controlling bad algae can be labor intensive and include methods such as chemicals and filters (some of which inherently bring about other issues that may be as problematic as the algae itself).
Not all algae is bad, however; in fact, some algae from high altitude lakes is harvested for its health benefits.
Kinda like life.
Sometimes we identify a problem as a problem, when in fact, locked within it is a solution, a benefit.
Examining the "algae-like" matters in our lives is worth pondering.
